Title: Halcyon
Fandom: Bandom (My Chemical Romance)
Rating: NC-17
Length: About 12k.
Characters/Pairings: Mikey/Frank, secondary Ray/Gerard.

Summary: It started, as it often did, as a favor for Gerard. Gerard was the reason Mikey was a supermodel who wore both suits and dresses for work, and Gerard was the reason that Mikey helped out a budding designer named Frank Iero.

But falling in love...that was all Mikey and Frank, really.

Notes: For [community profile] bandombigbang 2015. Be sure to check out the wonderful complementary art by chibifukurou!

This story includes references to depression, addiction, and mild gender dysphoria (Mikey is genderqueer). The non-binary stuff riffs off my personal experience and isn't meant to represent a greater whole. (Also, I'm DFAB and Mikey's DMAB, which means some of it was speculation by necessity.) Thanks to the mods of this lovely challenge (I can't believe I've been doing it for four years now!). This story is in tribute to the great people I've met through bandom, many of whom helped me sort through gender identity stuff through example or direct conversation or both.

Title: WFOB
Fandom: Bandom (Fall Out Boy)
Rating: NC-17.
Length: ~10,500 words.
Characters/Pairings: Pete/Patrick.

Summary: Pete Wentz, sports anchor at WFOB, has a new mission when Patrick Stump takes the lead anchor chair: Operation Best Friend. But what happens when it turns into a romantic project?

Notes: My story for [community profile] bandombigbang 2014, wave three. Mix by [personal profile] glitteryv. Give it a listen!

My deepest gratitude to:

-[personal profile] melusina and [personal profile] romantical for betaing. Any remaining errors are mine, either accidental or deliberate.
-The mods of [community profile] bandombigbang for all their work.
-Everyone on Twitter who saw my original musings following the interview where Pete and Patrick read the news and insisted I take my ideas further. You're all to blame!

Title: Well, I Changed For Good
Fandom: Bandom (My Chemical Romance)
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~33k.
Characters/Pairings: Frank/Gerard.

Content notes: Includes spoilers. )

Summary:
2003: Frank's a werewolf that changes when it's too cold outside, and Gerard isn't. But considering Frank saved Gerard when he got partially eaten by starving werewolves, Gerard should be. Gerard, for his part, is too busy getting sober after the loss of his band to remember that the attack actually happened.

2012: They reunite in Southern California while both are struggling to cope. They've both lived lives full of disasters apart; how much of a disaster can it be if they spend some time together before Frank leaves the country?

It's only when a cold snap hits LA that everyone finds out what disaster really is.

Author's notes: Also on AO3.

This story was written for Wave One of [community profile] bandombigbang 2013, and it's an AU of Maggie Stiefvater's novel Shiver. (Appropriately, the title of this story is based on a lyric from Coldplay's song Shiver.) I took liberties with the Shiver story/canon, and even though I intended this to be a fork-in-the-road AU (with werewolves), I also played with the factual MCR canon that made it into the story. That means it's as made up as all of my bandom fics! Fiction, yay!

I also consider this to be the third part in an informal Frank/Gerard werewolf trilogy. They don't share universes or anything; I've just written a Frank/Gerard werewolf story every year I've been writing bandom fic. The first, A Lesser Disaster, was actually my first bandom story ever posted. The second, Strays, was written for Werewolf Big Bang 2012. I got this idea, and I figured it was time to bring the werewolves to the main fandom stage, as it were. (I think this is going to be the last part, but then, I never really intended to write the other two. Maybe I'll try writing Ray/Mikey werewolves instead.)

All the thanks in the world to [personal profile] tuesdaysgone for the beta (all remaining errors are mine, believe me), to my younger sister for insisting I read Shiver at the beginning of the year, to the wonderful BBB mods for juggling everything, and to everyone in my sphere for putting up with me giving support and encouragement during yet another Big Bang cycle. See you all again for Wave Three!

Title: The High Place
Fandom: Bandom: Panic! at the Disco (with background MCR, FOB, and Cobra Starship)
Rating: R
Length: 12,150 words.
Characters/Pairings: Brendon/Spencer (with background Frank/Mikey and Ray/Gerard)

Content notes (skip) Past rape/abuse briefly discussed (not between any romantic pairing), violence, drug use similar to pot (with liberties taken)

Summary: Even after the battle that destroyed the local branch of Manticore, Seattle was much kinder to Brendon than the secret military organization that created him and his friends. Could his newfound freedom lead to something as awesome as love? (Dark Angel AU)
Author's notes: Also on AO3 and LJ.

For [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang 2012, Wave Three. This story mostly stands alone, but if you're not familiar with Dark Angel, it will definitely help to read Crash first. I also played fast and loose with the accuracy of the drug use in this story, but this is about cat people in the future and is based on people who play in bands, so I hope the whole thing is taken as what it is: fiction.

Thanks to andeincascade for the absolutely stellar beta job (and putting up with my anxious emails), rahnekat for the Dark Angel DVD loan, my younger sister for gifting me her DVD set, and my mom for listening to my brainstorming and laughing at the title when I told her about it. (I come by it honestly.)

Title: Giving Up the Ghost
Fandom: My Chemical Romance (with appearances from members of Black Cards, Fall Out Boy, and Cobra Starship)
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~26,300 words.
Characters/Pairings: Bob/Gerard, secondary Pete/Mikey
Disclaimer: Look up the word "fiction" in the dictionary.

Content notes: (unspoilery) (skip) Major character death, self-harm, drinking and drunkenness, depictions of pill use and medical situations (both forced and voluntary), depictions of addiction, depictions of mental health disorders, violence, bad words, bumping uglies.
Content notes: (spoilery) (skip) Only background characters stay dead. The self-harm's in the form of attempted suicide, but it stays an attempt.

Summary: Bob Bryar - also known as Spit Fire, the fifth Killjoy - should've died in the desert after Korse shot him in the head. But death isn't permanent in the zones, and rescue's nearly as ugly. When the fate of the resistance rides on Bob's shoulders, can Bob stop the mysterious enemies who anticipate his every move and cope with the mess Better Living Industries made of his life?

Author's notes:
For [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang 2011, Wave Two. (This is my second story for this challenge; the first was Crash.) I wrote and posted this before the third Killjoys video release, but well after SING.

Because I always love playing around with presentation (particularly where Big Bangs are concerned), each site gives a different reading experience: LiveJournal has each part in its own post, Dreamwidth has the master post and all parts of the fic in one entry, and AO3 gives the option between chaptered reading and a single page. And then, because the story has special formatting and AO3 can screw that up in their premade ebooks, I made my own: .mobi, .epub, and .pdf.

If that seems like too much? Just pick your favorite site and go. Or stick with the LJ version: I really like the way it looks.

Thanks. )

Title: Crash
Fandom: Bandom - My Chemical Romance (with appearances from members of Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco)
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~26k.
Characters/Pairings: Mikey/Frank, secondary Ray/Gerard and Pete/Patrick.
Disclaimer: So, so fictional.

Content notes (unspoilery): (skip) Dub-con, violence, drinking and references to addiction, pills and references to medical situations, vaguely naughty language, sexy times.
Content notes (spoilery): (skip) Characters in heat!

Summary: In a future version of Seattle, Frank Iero's a lot of things: bike messenger, cage fighter, sometimes thief, Ray Toro's roommate. Mikey Way's also a lot of things: record label owner, co-heir to his grandmother's fortune, younger brother. Neither are normal. But they don't know just how far each other's abnormalities go until Frank's past and a secret of Mikey's unexpectedly shove together. (Dark Angel AU.)

Author's notes: For [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang 2011, Wave Two. Thanks to [personal profile] turlough for reading this over in advance (especially while doing BBB art!), [personal profile] teigh_corvus and [livejournal.com profile] puchuupoet for their encouragement, [personal profile] astolat for the fantastic OpenOffice macros, and especially [livejournal.com profile] rahnekat1 for the cheerleading, the title, and the kind DVD loan (this is your fault). Anything weird left over is my doing, particularly the fast and loose way I played with Dark Angel canon. You shouldn't need knowledge of the show to follow the story.
