I like this! I can imagine Dean stubbornly fighting on after losing his sight (although I can also imagine him giving up).

I used to read terribly angsty Dean!whumping disability fics, including ones where he was blind, but this feels so much more mature and right somehow. His mental voice has the right balance of world-weariness and humour, and I like Bobby's cameo at the end.
